Singapore Math

Singapore Math thoroughly teaches every concept so that the child understands it. Excellent in teaching mental math. I love that they use the number bond method to illustrate fact families — so beneficial when it comes to understanding the relationship between addition & subtraction as well as multiplication & division.

The model method, that seems to be unique to the Singapore curriculum, is one of the things that makes Singapore such a valuable curriculum. Their word problems require a thorough understanding of the topics and most of the time several steps to solve. Definitely a challenging, but extremely worthwhile program.
