I know of one family who's son worked hard to pass many of these CLEP exams only to find out that the credits were either not accepted at the school he finally chose, or did not apply toward the degree he wanted.

I realize not everyone KNOWS what they want to do in high school, but it might be wise to just take the general CLEP tests for starters.
