Homeschool Rewards Zone brings you the latest additions to one family's rewarding experiences of homeschooling simply.
1) Book Nook This month let's call it the Song Nook! Kids remember so much more when they put it a tune. It's amazing, they're able to easily remember presidents, states, Bible books, the list is endless, really! Our all time favorite is Geography Songs (Book & Cassette)
It taught the children geography in a fun way and they still remember it to this day! Do you have a favorite home school book? If you do, let us all know!
2) Brain Teaser Can you make another word from the letters which form the word "chesty"? There's only one. (Answer at bottom.) 3) Helpful Homeschool Hints Okay, I know we suggested songs this month to help with memorization. But when it comes to successfully teach phonics you must start with reading to your children when they're still a baby! Pick books with interesting pictures and just a few words. Gradually point to words, make sounds together to even develop his dramatic abilities! Bottom line is READ. You will make your children lovers of reading! 4) New Pages Added Last month we introduced you to Marley. She is our new money saving expert! And she's added quite a number of great new pages to help you save money in your home. Check out the new additions for finding cheap clothes, home improvements, and travel tips. She continues to add more, so check back often! She truly is a Money Saving Expert!
5) Terrific Contributions From Visitors Like You! Every month we will share the best visitors' pages submitted the month before. We appreciate everyone's input, but there are some that really shine. My family votes on the best of the best. Here are this month's top picks (in no particular order):
Discipline Q & A Not Listening - Kelly's 3rd grader is not listening. She wonders if he simply does not get it because of his dyslexia or if he's actually disobeying. Kristina gives her great insight. Your Math Reviews Life of Fred - Wildflower School comments why this curriculum is such a blessing. Recipes Thanks to all of you who contributed recipes this month! Chicken and Rice Soup - Gabe M in Wisconsin
Doggie Birthday Cake - Marley in Wisconsin
6) # Visitors in January We thought it would be kinda fun to let you know just how many of you are visiting the site each month. Last month finished out with 6,863 new visitors!
